Cheerleading-Stunt Team Fundamentals

Do you want to be a cheerleader? Join our squad as we learn basic cheers and dances. In class students will learn cheerleading basics, such as arm movements, jumps, and smiles. Our program is designed for girls of all ages and abilities. At the end of the eight weeks children will perform the cheers they have learned for their parents. No class 7/4.

Glitzy Girls Summertime Spa
6-12 years
Come join Glitzy Girlz staff for a night of pampering on a nice summer evening. We will start with a fruit facial (avocado/banana) and soak our skin. Each girl will design a beautiful crystal charm anklet complete with flip flop and summer themed charms. We will do a pedicure section with scrub, lotion and spray and finish with a fresh nail polish application complete with nail art stickers or designs. Our manicures will consist of buffing, cuticles, lotion bar and fresh polish application and nail art. A foot/nail brush is provided to use and take home. We end our night with a relaxing drink and snack. A spa goodie bag is provided as a keepsake.

Quiz-Kids with Miss Irene

Is your kid a Whiz – kid that seems destined for a Jeopardy tournament? Do they follow you around spouting all sorts of facts from silly to serious? Then Quiz bowl is the game for them! Played in Middle Schools, High Schools and Colleges around the country, teams of 5 take each other on in a battle of wits. In this program inquisitive kids will learn how to acquire trivial knowledge and share it at lightning speed with a buzzer in hand. Miss Irene is the coach of the Wauconda High School Scholastic Bowl Quiz team, (qualifying for Nationals two years in a row) and she wants to share this fun game with all your mini mega-brains – so come join the fun! Magic Class
5-12 years
Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn a collection of fascinating and mesmerizing tricks from the “Magic Team of Gary Kantor”! Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. While the tricks may appear difficult, you’ll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn tricks that are age-appropriate. Summer Coached Bowling I and II

Join us as we shine the Bat light to summon directors, writers, creators and editors of our own movie productions. You will work in teams to create your own story and script. You will design your own backgrounds and use Batman figures as characters and film your movie using special movie making cameras and software. We will use graphic editing techniques and stop motion animation, add background noise and music, and show your movie at a private screening on the last day of class. How exciting it will be to see your final movie posted on the COMPUTER EXPLORERS YouTube channel to be viewed by friends and family near and far.

Wacky Water Day Wednesdays-water parks

Does your kid love waterparks? The thrill of going down a slide, being lazy on the lazy river, or just floating in a swimming pool. Well join us on Wednesdays for Wacky Days in the sun. Please dress your child in his/her swimsuit, send a sack lunch, and make sure to put on lots of sunscreen. We will visit a different waterpark each time, so sign up for one or all of them. * These camps travel by themselves, all other trips will travel with Camp Wauconda.

Safe Sitter Babysitting
11-14 years
Our new babysitting program, sponsored by Safe Sitter, is sure to get your teen on the right track to become a babysitter. Participants will learn how to care for a choking infant or child, basic first aid, personal safety for the babysitter, injury prevention, how to care for children, preventing problem behavior, behavior management, ethics, and babysitting as a business. Program includes a babysitting manual and a completion card. Participants should bring a baby-sized doll and lunch to all classes.

Paintball

Experience extreme fun paintball style! We will take a trip up to Breakaway Paintball in Franksville, Wisconsin and spend half of the day playing the ultimate game of paintball. Please wear loose-fitting clothes, long sleeve shirt and pants, and bring a sack lunch and water bottle. All participants will be furnished with equipment (rental gun, goggle, tank, hopper, 500 rounds, and all day air fills). Teams play from 1:00-4:00 pm. A waiver must be signed by parent/guardian before going on the trip. Registration deadline is 7/6.

Kan Jam Tournament

Grab a teammate and come out to play this fun physical education game that is sweeping the nation. We will have this tournament during our popular and exciting Wauconda Fest. Teams of 2 will play against other teams to try to win a wonderful prize. Tournament style (Single or Double Elimination) will be determined at the event depending on how many teams sign up.
