Adult Sports Programs
Throughout the year the Wauconda Park District offers sports for adults ages 18 and up. These instructional programs include: Adult Tennis Lessons, Adult Golf Lessons and the Isshinryu Karate Club. We also offer Recreational Softball Double-Header Tournaments in the summer months.
Adult Golf Lessons
15 years and up
Learn the fundamentals of golf in a great environment. You will learn the proper grip, stance, short game, full swing, and also putting. All lessons will be held at the Golf Farm on Route 12, one mile north of Bonner Road in Wauconda. A PGA Professional teaches the lessons and the Golf Farm will provide equipment if needed.

Senior Lawn Leagues
55 years and up
Time to get physical – athletic style and sign up for one, two, or all three of our senior lawn leagues! Our leagues consist of 10 regular season games (2 games per team per day) and a single-elimination tournament at the end of the season. If you are an individual and don’t have a teammate then call Mark Ftacek at 847-526-3610 to be put on an extra player list. This is a great way to socialize within the community while enjoying yourself at the same time. No games 7/4 and 7/5.

5 Star Adult Tennis
16 years and up
Let 5 Star Sports, Inc. improve your tennis game. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, they will help instruct you to improve no matter what your skill level is. Tennis racket is required.

Men’s & Co-Ed Fall Softball Double-Header Leagues
The endless summer continues with our early fall softball leagues. Come back for double-header games on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday nights. Full fee is required at time of registration. A mandatory captain’s meeting will be held on Monday, August 20th at 6:30 pm. League play begins August 27th. Please sign up for the correct league (Men’s A, B or C).

Wauconda Isshinryu Karate Club
15 years and up
This is a thorough program of self-defense utilizing hand and foot strikes, holds, throws, and takedowns. Choose your own level of challenge as you study the traditional forms and fighting techniques, which apply toward advancement in rank and tournament competition, if you so desire.
