Women’s Golf Outing
The Wauconda Park District presents the 9th Annual Women’s Golf Outing. Enjoy 13 holes of golf, cont. breakfast, lunch, and be there to purchase one of the finest caddies in Wauconda from the caddy auction! Contests include: longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin, specialty holes, and prizes awarded to the 1st, 5th and 10th place teams. Visit our website for more information. Spooky Coloring Contest
Let’s decorate the Wauconda Park District Community Center with spooky Halloween pictures! Coloring sheets will be available beginning Monday, October 3rd at the Park District office. Return pictures by Wednesday, October 26th. Prizes will be awarded in the following age groups: 2-3 years, 4-5 years, 6-7 years, and 8-9 years. Winners will be notified by Thursday, October 27th. All pictures will be displayed at the Community Center.
Trick or Treat on Main Street
Come on out to this FUN, FAMILY event! Stop at the shops and restaurants on Main street for treats, games and specials! Other activities include pet costume parade, pumpkin carving contest, spooky stories, a bigger, better, kid-friendly haunted house at Beach Park, pumpkin decorating, carnival games and bounce houses. There is a free shuttle from the Park District! All events are FREE and sponsored by the Main Street Businesses! Bring a camera to capture the memories of your little ghosts and goblins.

Calls from Santa
Ho! Ho! Ho! Would you like your child to get a personal call from Santa, himself?! This is a great surprise for the children, reminding then to be especially good for the next few weeks! Parents, please pick up an information flyer for calls at our office starting November 21st. Calls will be made on Wednesday, December 7th and Thursday, December 8th between 3:00-6:00pm.
Holiday Coloring Contest
Let’s get the season started by coloring our holiday picture. Sheets will be available beginning Monday, November 28th at the Park District office. Return pictures by Wednesday, December 14th. Prizes will be awarded in the following age groups: 2-3 years, 4-5 years, 6-7 years, and 8-9 years. Winners will be notified by Friday, December 16th. All pictures will be displayed at the Community Center.
Holiday Walk on Main St. Tree Lighting and Santa’s Arrival
Join the Wauconda Park District and get into the holiday spirit as we welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus to Wauconda at the annual Tree Lighting event. Santa will arrive on a fire truck to light the tree and kick off the fireworks show. Then come inside after the tree is glowing and enjoy a winter wonderland of crafts, games and stories. Bring your camera to take a picture with Santa. Goody bags available while supplies last and light refreshments will be served. No registration required.

Letters to Santa
Santa wants to make sure he hears from all the children in Wauconda, so he has added another mailbox at the Community Center. Beginning December 1st through December 12th, you may drop off your letter to Santa in his special mailbox. Remember to include your name and address so Santa can write back. No postage required.
