About the Wauconda Park District

The Wauconda Park District is an organization which takes pride in its ability to serve the 12,000 residents of Wauconda. The District employs 11 full-time and nearly one-hundred part-time and seasonal employees who operate various programs and facilities throughout the year. We look for individuals who like to have fun while delivering accurate and friendly service.

Before & After School Club Counselor

Needed for Robert Crown and Wauconda Grade School.

Lifeguard

-Must be at least 16 years of age.
Will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to prepare the beach for groups present daily, provide patron surveillance, teach swim lessons, and meet all safety rules and policies of the park district. Lifeguards are hired on a seasonal basis and are required to work from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Beach hours are Monday-Sunday 11:00 am-7:3o pm with swim lessons being 9:00-10:30 am.

Early Childhood Instructor

Ages: Birth to 5 years
Needed for Fall Programs.
Degree in Education, Early Childhood, or past experience in these areas are required.

Dance Instructor

Seeking enthusiastic, experienced instructors with reliable transportation.
Minimum 2 years teaching experience required and dance degree preferred.
