About the Wauconda Park District
The Wauconda Park District is an organization which takes pride in its ability to serve the 12,000 residents of Wauconda. The District employs 11 full-time and nearly one-hundred part-time and seasonal employees who operate various programs and facilities throughout the year. We look for individuals who like to have fun while delivering accurate and friendly service.

Club Counselor
We are looking for immediate before school care assistants. Hours are 6:15- 9:30 am Monday through Friday. Job responsibilities will include supervising children in a recreational childcare setting. If you are interested in applying for a position with the Wauconda Park District, you must complete a job application. Once you submit your application to the District office, 600 N. Main Street, Wauconda, it will be available for review by hiring supervisors. Applications are kept active on file for three years after completion. Please note you will be contacted only if you’re being considered for a specific position.
Recreation Instructors
If you are interested in applying for a position with the Wauconda Park District, you must complete a job application. Once you submit your application to the District office, 600 N. Main Street, Wauconda, it will be available for review by hiring supervisors. Applications are kept active on file for three years after completion. Please note you will be contacted only if you’re being considered for a specific position.
All prospective Park District employees must successfully pass a criminal background check through the Illinois State Police as required by Illinois State law. If you apply for a position that requires the operation of a vehicle, you will be required to fill out a waiver for a Driver’s Abstract to be run with the Secretary of State annually, along with passing a driving test. If you apply for full-time employment with us, you will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
