About the Wauconda Park District

The Wauconda Park District is an organization which takes pride in its ability to serve the 13,000+ residents of Wauconda. The District employs 13 full-time and nearly one-hundred part-time and seasonal employees who operate various programs and facilities throughout the year. We look for individuals who like to have fun while delivering accurate and friendly service.

Lifeguards – Seasonal

-Must be at least 16 years of age.
Will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to prepare the beach for groups and daily visiors, provide patron surveillance, teach swim lessons, and meet all safety rules and policies of the Park District.

Lifeguards are hired on a seasonal basis and are required to work from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Beach hours are Monday-Sunday 11:00 am-7:3o pm with swim lessons being 9:00-10:30 am (M-F).

Concession Staff/Beach – Seasonal

– Must be at least 15 years of age.

Will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to stock and sell simple concessions for guest patrons, provide daily cleaning of the concession stand, and offer general assistance to the Beach Office and Beach Manager.

Concession staff workers are hired on a seasonal basis and are required to work from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Beach hours are Monday-Sunday 11:00 am-7:3o pm.

Day Camp Staff – Seasonal

– Must be at least 18 years of age.

Will be responsible for the daily care and activity supervision of children ranging in age from Kindergarten through 4th Grade managing age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, swimming, games, parties, field trips, theme days, special events & much more.

 

Before & After School Club Counselors

Needed for Robert Crown and Wauconda Grade School.

Early Childhood Instructors

Instructors needed for students in the Early Childhood program, ranging in age from Birth to 5 years
Needed year-round for programs.
College degree in Education, Early Childhood, or past experience in these areas is preferred

Dance Instructor

The Wauconda Park District is seeking enthusiastic, experienced instructors for our Menagerie Dance program with reliable transportation.
Minimum 2 years teaching experience is required; dance degree preferred.
