Open Gym Schedule

The Wauconda Park District offers open gym throughout the day and evening whenever we don’t have a program utilizing the gym.  For open gym times go to..

Open Gym Fees

Adults 18 years and older: $2.00
17 years and under: $1.00
(Under 12 years must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian).

Open Gym Identification Cards are required and are free to get but must have on file before participating. Fitness First members are admitted free of charge.

Adult Volleyball Open Gym
Mondays from 6:30-8:45 pm
Dates: 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, and 10/15.

Men’s Basketball Open Gym
Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:00-1:00 pm.
This typically runs from September through May, but check the website or league info line for updated schedule. This is for 18 years and older and is $2.00 per visit.

Preschool Open Gym
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00 am-12:00 pm. This typically runs from September through May, but check the website or league info line for updated schedule. This is for walking-5 years with parent and is free of charge.

School’s Out Holiday Open Gym
During these times open gym will be broken down as follows:
Grammar and Middle School: 9:15 am-2:00 pm
High School & Up: 2:15-8:45 pm

Tumbling Open Gym

Do you have a preschooler who loves to run, jump, climb, or explore? Bring them for all that and more to
the all-new Ultimate Athletics Preschool Open Gym!
Your little one will have hours of fun in our 36,000 sq. ft. facility with tons of room to run, trampolines to
bounce on, and a huge variety of mats to climb on and explore! Our Open Gym gives kids an opportunity
to get out of the house, stay active, and interact with new playmates! We know parents, grandparents, and
babysitters all would enjoy the energy burned as well! Registration will be taken at Ultimate Athletics.
No open gym 3/27.

Open Gym Guidelines
-Anyone attending open gym must have an Open Gym Identification Card before participating.
-Any participants 12 years and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
-Open gym is only for people who have paid the daily rate. No one can just sit and watch. If they have not paid, they will be asked to pay or must leave.
-Basketballs may be checked out from the Fitness Center and must be returned.
-Food and drinks are not allowed in the gym. Bottled water is acceptable.
-Open Gym is for basketball only unless otherwise stated.
-Please make sure that everyone gets a chance to play.
-No horseplay is allowed in the building.
-No swearing, vulgar language, spitting, or tobacco products are allowed inside the Community Center.
